Sara Lucchini (she/her/hers)I am a passionate educator with an inquiry-based, collaborative teaching style. I create the technology, curriculum, and the engaging learning environment for learners of any age to build their coding abilities and foster their life skills!
For the past four and a half years, I worked for the computer science education company ThoughtSTEM and it's partner non-profit MetaCoders as an educator, curriculum developer, software developer, and training manager. I taught in after-school, in-school, summer camp and e-learning programs for K-12. I learned, taught, and developed curriculum for 15 different programming languages and educational technologies, crafting engaging, fun learning experiences for all ages. My goal for my students is that they leave my class thinking that coding is something fun that they can do. In addition to teaching students, I also teach teachers! I have developed and taught teacher training programs and led volunteer and internship programs. I have used my years of experience to mentor educators and help them build the skills and mentality for success. I have taught coding, theatre, dance, and art. Over my 10+ years of teaching, I have learned that if I love doing something, I love teaching it! |
The easiest way to put students of any age at ease is to be the most ridiculous person in the room!
